Amazon is seeking a Process Improvement Manager to lead our Rapid Response program within the Employee Experience Team. The mission for the Employee Experience team is to provide the authoritative source for voice of the employee and actionable insights for Employee Services. The team collects and listens to employee feedback and translates insights into opportunities and action. We evaluate how employees engage with each of our Employee Services teams, identifying defects and systemic pain points at the root cause level and either solving them or escalating them to their respective owners to ensure frustration-free employee experiences. 

Primary Responsibilities 

As a member of the Rapid Response Program, you will participate in and lead focused and strategically critical projects across Employee Services in all areas of the business. You will study, learn, and diagnose HR processes, identify root causes and improvement opportunities, prescribe improvement strategies, guide the improvement effort, and measure outcomes. 

Specifically, you will:
· Work with program managers, business leaders and executive team to communicate and impact critical business initiatives in a global setting
· Influence design and development of strategic processes
· Work cross-functionally across teams to effect department-wide performance improvement with our internal and external partners by designing and implementing processes, metrics, and programs that enhance the end to end employee experience
· Audit completed projects to verify sustained impact 
 


 

Required Candidate profile

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS


· Bachelor's degree required in a quantitative discipline (Statistics, Mathematics, Industrial Engineering, Operations Research, Management Science, Economics, etc.)
· 3+ years' experience in Continuous Improvement, HR, or related field
· Knowledge of HR processes
· Six Sigma Green Belt or Lean certification
· Proven experience using voice of the customer analysis to drive improvements through the application of Lean and/or Six Sigma tools and concepts
· Experience writing SQL queries and mining databases
· Demonstrated experience and proficiency in effective written and verbal communication
· Demonstrated knowledge of key business financial metrics
· Experience using either JMP or Minitab, SAS, SPSS, R, etc.
· Ability to travel both domestically and internationally - 25%

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS


· Advanced technical (MS/MBA/PhD) degree from an accredited university with focus on Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, and related areas
· Self-starter and independent thinker
· Working knowledge and proven track record of success with analytical problem solving methodologies and programs
· Strong change management and influence skills; ability to negotiate and communicate across all levels of the organization
· Demonstrated ability to make courageous recommendations and decisions to drive significant organizational change
· Excellent presentation skills, dynamic approach with the ability to translate theory into practical application
· Demonstrated skills leading and influencing global business partners
· Proven analytical capabilities
· Passionate about the customer, whose experience with Amazon depends on us
